Job Location: Houston, TX
Duration: Long term
Rate: $ *** hr on C2C
This position requires travel to Canada on a need basis of up to 20-30%. (All expenses will be covered for Canada Travel)
Responsibilities
Looking for a DevOps practitioner who can evaluate existing DevOps landscape or lack thereof. Lead sessions to build consensus on gaps, solution options, target operating models, and recommendations. Evangelize DevOps best practices.
Implement DevOps practices/tools for continuous integration, continuous delivery-deployment, environment automation, release automation, virtualization, infra as a code
Enhance existing CI/CD platform for Applications by building, tuning and supporting highly available systems.
Partner closely with distributed software development teams and infrastructure delivery teams define and manage software and build and releases for multiple applications, design and implement new software to streamline manual operations, drive environment builds outs and software systems setup and configurations.
Extend support to non-production and production environments
Must Haves
12+ years of experience in technical leadership and architecture roles
5+ years of experience in DevOps roles and conceptual knowledge of the entire DevOps stack
Hands-on experience with various programming languages such as Java, Go, NodeJS
Hands-on Implementation skills and understanding of Microservices and Containerization, Docker Components and Orchestration using Swarm/Kubernetes
Development experience of RESTful APIs
Broad automation experience in build, test, configuration & deployment in complex environments
Proficiency with DevOps tooling (Chef, Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Artifactory, etc.)
Knowledge and experience of the Atlassian Software Suite, including JIRA, Bamboo, Confluence, bit bucket, etc.
Experienced in different scripting and or programming languages like Bash, Ruby or Python
Good to have knowledge on
Automated testing (Selenium, HP Load runner, etc.)
infrastructure concepts (IP networking, load balancing, firewalls, etc.)
Basic Needs

Ability to adapt and be productive in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills supporting multiple stakeholders and business operations.
