Complete Description:
Department of Employment Services (DOES), Office of Information Technology. The position is VM/DBA will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance and support of VM Machines/SQL database servers additionally DB2 skills will be a plus. The person will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of VM and database technologies and related software. He will also conducts analysis, creates VM and system specifications for Application, Web and Database, develops, tests and implements business applications, operating systems, and file/database servers. Utilizes existing or new technology in the automation of processes.
Database management through maintenance of data dictionaries, data models, performance tuning. Coordinates database changes and tests.
Programming with SQL Server *** , 2012, SQL stored procedures, user defined functions, cursors and query batches
Experience with transactional SQL and SQL query optimization required
Knowledge of network architecture to develop, implement and maintain highly efficient network systems
