Roles and Responsibilities:
- The engineer will be part of the QALI Automation team in the Cisco UCS group. QALI is a comprehensive Python based automation framework developed by Cisco to cater to UCS test requirements.
- The engineer will develop libraries as part of the Infrastructure automation team and also involve in automating the features of the UCS Fabric Interconnects in the upcoming software releases.
- The engineer will closely work with the Tech Lead for code review and ensure that the code delivered is clear, succinct and efficient.
- The engineer will have to understand the basic Layer2 functionalities like VLAN, Port Channeling, LACP, IGMP, ARP, RARP, LLDP, DCBX, PFC, ETS, QoS, CoS, Pinning etc., as the majority of the tests that need to be automated will be based on the Layer2 features.
Skills required - All the below skills are MUST to have.
- Min. of 5-6 yrs of experience in Python automation development
- Must be an expert in Python - Must be expert in File handling, Regular Expressions, Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures like Dictionary, List & Set, Python Decorators
- Must have a very good knowledge on testing and understanding Layer2 Networking concepts
- Must have strong analytical skills to solve complex problems.
