W-2 Only! Must-Have:
- 5+ years administering VMware/ESX/ESXi
- 3+ years architecting VMware infrastructure, including network and storage attachments (environment must consist of >300 virtual servers)
- Experience with VMware vCenter
- Experience with various VMware Technologies (e.g. vMotion, vmkernel, VM Cloning, Storage vMotion, vswap file, standard virtual switch, distributed virtual switch, DRS rules, DRS groups, VM snapshot)
Plus:
- Strong skills with Powershell and other scripting languages
- Experience with vRealize and vRealize Orchestrator
- Experience with Cisco UCS servers hosting ESXi
- VMWare certifications
- Involvement/Participation in VMWare user groups and/or VMWorld
Day-to-Day:
A client is looking for a VMware Architect to work in Columbus, OH. This person will be responsible for assisting with VMware ESXi architecture design, deployment and upgrade of ESXi on host servers. This position will be hands-on with addressing VMWare environment issues that arise including but not limited to troubleshoot ESXi and vMotion issues, performing performance and capacity management, and developing automation to prevent and address issues. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting and architecting an environment with 300+ virtual servers and will be familiar with various VMware Technologies
