Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Middleware support and break fix, all aspects
- Strategic design, engineer, enhancements, for enterprise middleware products supporting
- Middleware product lifecycle management
- Patch management
- Advise on license management
- Updating newer versions of software/code
- Research, evaluate and test new middleware products and/or technologies along with the client team
- Implement Proof of Concepts and assist in selecting middleware products
- Proactively integrate tactical & strategic business initiatives with the enterprise environment
- Guide the growth and strategic planning of the application infrastructure Develop standards on middleware deployment methodologies
- Propose, design, and implement enhancements and additions to current environment
- Develop best practices and standards for various middleware products
- Develop solutions/tools for source code repository for middleware applications
- Develop solutions/tools for middleware product upgrades and patching
- Work with the team on technical issues, standards and procedures
- Continuous Improvement on all layers of the MW environment
- Assist in the growth and strategic planning of the middleware products and technology solutions
- Manage continuous improvement of delivery, and operational practices
- Manage middleware product(s) strategies
- Manages engineering and operational service metrics with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality/SLA, and optimize delivery manage tools to monitor the environment
- Detailed troubleshooting working alongside developers
- Develop and manage tools to support product automation
- Develop scripts to automate administration task ( Ex – failover, patching )
- Develop and manage middleware performance tuning tools
- Ensures compliance with established industry rules, regulations and best practices
- Ensure compliance with Client policies and procedures
- Be available at times for after hours support.
Requirements:
Technical Experience:
Must have 5-7 years Linux/UNIX systems administration experience
- Apache Httpd experience
- Apache Tomcat experience
- Strong understanding on the use of RPM and YUM tools
- Must have some knowledge in cloud AWS preferred
- Strong understanding of and compliance with IT development process (SDLC)
- Some project implementation skills and be able to work with internally and globally
- Understanding Web-based development experience
- Understanding of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML 5 experience
- End-to-end understanding of systems development life cycle methodology
- Strong analytical skillsand a solid understanding of all critical Production Support processes
- Strong Java knowledge & Build tools like Jenkins etc.
- Strong understanding of OpenStack and Cloud technologies.
- Must possess excellent quantitative and analytical skills with practical application.
- Experience in Middleware design and analysis and tuning of applications.
- Strong understanding of the following: Application Servers: (core apps and Adobe CQ/AEM for websites)
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP and networking.
- Strong background in UNIX shell scripting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Must demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate, and all supporting teams
