Position : Network Device AdminLocation : Gorton , CT Duration : 6 Months + Job Description:• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux as the primary discipline with a secondary baseline understanding of Microsoft Windows Servers• Networking & Internetworking experience as a technician, operator or engineer.• Good understanding of Network and Information Security basics.• Experience in administering and integrating network management systems• Introductory to basic level understanding of open source tools and applications• Excellent written and verbal communications interpersonal and customer service skills• Flexibility to work varying coverage hours including weekends and nights• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work in a high pressure, fast pace environment• Process oriented, Strong organizational and analytical skills• Self-motivated, able to work independently & in team environment under deadlines• The ability to pick up new technologies quickly and translate the technology to all within working environment• 2-3+ years Computer Operations background, understanding of data centers, data communications and utilities• Experience providing and automating day to day systems administration duties• Networking & Internetworking experience as operator, engineer, or tools integrator Qualifications:• BS in information systems, information technologies (or comparable field) or comparable educational background• Initial experience as technician• Good Linux and Unix knowledge as well as network administration• Good communication skills and team spirit Certifications:• A+, Net+, Linux+, MCP or equivalent• Security+, CEH or equivalent Preferred
